This Sharp-shinned Hawk arrived at my feeder pole on thanksgiving, just as a snow storm was ending.  I saw the many goldfinches that were hanging on the feeders on this pole dive into the adjacent bush to hide.   The young hawk dove into the bush but was unsuccessful in his hunt for lunch.  It was a wildlife photographers delight to watch such a hunting ritual, all from the cozy confines of my dining room!
